Born in the United States to a family that escaped the turmoil of Vietnam, Michael Henry’s success as an entrepreneur is a testament to what American immigrant families can achieve with their drive and resilience. His family fled Vietnam in 1974, thanks to the connections of his grandfather, a high-ranking official in the South Vietnamese army. This legacy of foresight and hope paved the way for Michael’s success in a profound way.

Growing up, Michael was instilled with the traditional hopes of working in one of the “big four” industries by becoming a lawyer, a doctor, an accountant or an engineer. However, after exploring marketing in high school through DECA — a program fostering skills in management and entrepreneurial thinking — and venturing far from home for college, Michael’s path began to lead him to his unique future.

Shifting Vision and Embracing the New Economy

During his time at university, the 2008 financial crisis devastated finances across the country and deeply influenced Michael’s career path. At this time, Michael dabbled in many different interests, trying his hand at everything from business administration to chiropractic studies to the energetic world of the fitness industry. But his work ethic was causing him to miss important family moments, leading to an important realization: life isn’t just about making money; it’s about making time for what truly matters.

Michael decided to embrace a new calling, one that allowed him to set his own hours and help people protect the ones they love most. Today, as a co-founder of M&M Wealth Associates, Michael puts his unique expertise to work. Since November 2020, he has been breaking the mold of traditional financial advisors. His experiences — from a multicultural upbringing to his varied professional roles — equip him to serve a broad spectrum of clients in finding financial security.

But that commitment goes beyond just selling policies. He is devoted to educating families, particularly those from underrepresented communities, about the importance of financial protection and the potential to build generational wealth through life insurance and other financial products.
