First Financial Security, Inc. would like to thank the FFS family for their generous support of the CF Foundation’s Atlanta Great Strides fundraiser this past weekend. Over 20 staff members, family and friends gathered at the Suwanee Town Center last Saturday, May 20th to walk and celebrate all we accomplished. With the help of our many supporters and donors, FFS passed this year’s fundraising goal of $25,000 to raise over $28,000 for medical advancements in treating and finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.

FFS was honored to be recognized as an Elite Supporter sponsor for the event and proud to be the second-largest team at the walk. We would like to thank Columbus Life and National Life as our carrier partners who helped us support this cause, as well as Insure the Cure for letting us join their collective of over 50 other companies in the Atlanta insurance community who have banded together for over a decade to raise money for the CF Foundation. Overall, Insure the Cure raised over $385,000 of the event’s grand total of over $2,000,000.

This money will go towards advanced care, advocacy and eventually a cure for people born with cystic fibrosis like Maya Cook, daughter of FFS’ Recognition Coordinator Ben Cook and his wife Kirsten. Maya’s diagnosis sparked the formation of the FFS team, and it was wonderful to see her join her family, our team and hundreds of other supporters and donors on the walk. All in all, it was a great day filled with cool weather, family fun and delicious BBQ — the perfect celebration of everyone’s generous support.

Thank you again to all who helped FFS raise money for the CF Foundation so we can one day find a cure.
