With over 40 staff members, family and friends walking in the Atlanta Great Strides fundraiser last Saturday, May 21st, First Financial Security, Inc. is proud to have raised over $19,000 for the CF Foundation’s mission to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
We would like to thank the incredible field agents and headquarters staff who put their generous donations and support toward helping develop better treatments and a cure for CF. With over 50 individual gifts from corporate staff and field leaders, we almost doubled our fundraising goal of $10,000. First Financial Security also matched the first $5,000 in donations to help us get our total to over $19,000.
Our team gathered to walk in honor of Maya Cook, daughter of FFS’ Recognition Coordinator Ben Cook and his wife Kirsten. The walk was a great day of fun and fellowship for all who participated with our corporate team — the perfect culmination of all the support we received throughout the fundraising campaign.
Overall, the event raised over $2.6 million to bring more tomorrows to people like Maya. This money helps thousands of families across the nation, providing hope that their loved ones fighting CF will have the chance to live a long and healthy life.
